The cabins :
MV SEA SPIRIT offers comfortable accommodation for twelve guests in six
cabins, four with lower double berths and single upper berth and two with
twin berths. Each cabin has a porthole and all are air conditioned by a
centrally controlled system as well as having a large wall mounted cabin
fan. All cabins have hanging wardrobe and under-bed storage space,
en-suite bathrooms, with shower, marine WC and wash hand basin. The
guest cabins are totally separate from the working sections of the boat and
are cleaned each day while guests are diving. The saloon The saloon On
the main deck there is a large, comfortable saloon which has a large seating
and table area for comfortable dining and relaxation. The saloon is equipped
with a multi-system VHS video recorder with 14 inch AV monitor for
underwater video enthusiasts and a music centre with CD player and tape
deck. For our guests we have provided a small library of marine
identification books and some light reading! For photographers, the saloon
has ample storage for cameras and recharging points. E6 processing is
available on board. The MV SEA SPIRITis fully licensed to sell alcohol and
the bar in the saloon is stocked with beer, wine and spirits. Soft drinks,
tea and coffee are free of charge and are freely available throughout the
day. |
|
|
|
Food & Drink :
There is a good variety of dishes - European as well as local specialties.
If guests are vegetarian or have special dietary needs, we will, of course,
do our best to cater for them. DIVING MV SEA SPIRIT usually operates a
program of three dives per day. Diving takes place from the dive support
boat called Godha. Godha has its own dedicated crew and carries all the dive
equipment and compressors. Tanks are filled in place on the tank rack so
guests need only assemble their BCD and regulator once at the start of the
holiday. Under the bench seating, each guest has their own storage box for
their own dive kit.
Often the best diving in the Maldives is to be found in the narrow channels
between the ocean and the atoll rim and it is therefore necessary to have a
boat that is easy to manoeuvre and with a shallow draft to ensure the safety
of divers during pick-up. A nice feature of Godha is that she will anchor a
discreet distance away from the mother ship when filling the tanks so guests
are not disturbed by noise from the compressors. |
|
|
|
SAFETY :
The safety of our guests is paramount. On both MV SEA SPIRIT and the dive
support boat we carry a comprehensive first aid kit and pure oxygen. Both
boats also have ship to shore radio-telephone and GPS and the mother ship
has a satellite telephone system.
OTHER ENTERTAINMENT OTHER ENTERTAINMENT :
On board slide shows are often given. MV SEA SPIRIT has a dhoni which is
used to take guests to the uninhabited islands. When possible, we arrange
barbecues as well as visits to the local fishing islands where visitors are
always made very welcome.
ON BOARD SALES ON BOARD SALES :
Monogrammed sweatshirts, T-shirts and baseball caps can be purchased on
board together with a selection of fish identification and marine biology
books and our own guide to Maldivian dive sites. |
